Several opportunities available. The China government has made a policy decision to make Chongqing in western China the national model and pilot for improved living standards and environment.
There is an ongoing officially backed push to develop the electrical vehicle industry as the present car society is unsustainable. Several companies are looking for overseas partners to develop thirds generation vehicles for local and overseas markets.
First and second generation electrical vehicles are already in production, and in some places some 60% of private transport are already by means of electrical vehicles.
Technology is already of very high standard and many companies have a successful track record of many years. Any investment is for expansion. Partners that can bring technology and know how are especially welcome.
The success in this industry is almost guaranteed, given the correct handling of the project, as the development is backed by central and local China government, and laws, regulations, and policy is already being adapted to support such projects.
The local market in Chongqing and surrounding areas are 120 million people alone, and few yet own any private vehicles, though it is on top of the “to buy” list.
